Terms of service
These terms apply when you use Cherished to make, pay for and share digital invitations and personal pages. By creating an account or paying for an invite, you agree to them, so please read them.

What Cherished is
Cherished lets you build animated digital invitations for weddings and other occasions, share them as a web link (for example on WhatsApp) and collect RSVPs from your guests. You can build and preview every design for free; until you pay for an invite, only you can see it. Paying for an invite publishes it, so the people you send its link to can open it, and unlocks every feature for that invite.
In these terms, “we” and “us” mean the people who run Cherished, and “you” means the person using it.
Your account
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code; there is no password. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, so keep your email account secure. You must be 18 or older to create an account or pay, and you are responsible for what is done in your account.
Acceptable use
Use Cherished only for genuine invitations and personal messages. Do not use it to:
- publish anything unlawful, hateful, abusive, obscene or defamatory, or anything that harms children;
- upload photos or other material you do not have the right to use;
- pretend to be someone else or mislead guests;
- send spam or unwanted bulk messages;
- break, overload or get around the security of the service, or access data that is not yours;
- copy, resell or reuse our designs outside Cherished.
We may remove content, or suspend or close accounts, that break these rules.
Your content and photos
The names, text and photos you add stay yours. You allow us to store, copy, process and display them only as needed to run Cherished for you, for example to show your invite to the people who open its link, and for no other purpose. This permission ends when your content is deleted. You confirm that you have the right to use everything you upload, and that the people whose details you add know they are being invited.
Prices and payment
Building and previewing an invite is free. Paying for an invite is a one-time payment for that single invite: there is no subscription and nothing renews. Prices are in Indian rupees, and the price shown at checkout is the amount you pay. Taxes, if any apply, are handled as the law requires. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. Your invite is published and its features unlocked as soon as Razorpay confirms the payment.
No refunds
Payments are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled once made, as set out in our refund and cancellation policy, which is part of these terms. If you were charged twice, or you paid and your payment was not applied to your invite, we will fix it or refund you.
Our designs and software
The designs, illustrations, animations and software belong to us or to the people who license them to us. You may use them for your own invitations through Cherished, but not in other products or for resale.
Who can see your invite
Once your invite is published, anyone with its link can open it. Share links only with the people you want to invite. Invite pages are kept out of search engines.
The service “as is”
We provide Cherished “as is” and “as available”. We take reasonable care to keep it running, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted, for example during maintenance or problems at our providers or with your internet connection. We may change or improve features over time.
Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as the costs of your event or a guest missing it;
- our total liability for any claim about an invite is limited to the amount you paid us for that invite.
Please check the details you enter, such as dates, times and venues, before you share your invite. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer protection law that cannot be limited.
Ending your use
You can stop using Cherished at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to support@cherished.in. We may suspend or close an account, and take down its invites, if it seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms or the law. Payments already made are not refunded when an account is closed for that reason.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If something goes wrong, please write to us first so we can try to sort it out. If we cannot, the dispute will be decided by the courts of India.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If you keep using Cherished after a change, the new terms apply. A change never takes away what you have already paid for.
